Inorganic Synthetic Chemistry

About me

Current position: Recently appointed as Broom McIntyre Fellow. PI of the Price Group in the School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews.

Sept 2023-Feb 2025 Associate lecturer in inorganic chemistry (education focused) at the University of St Andrews.

2018 - 2023 Postdoctoral researcher investigating the properties of the f-block elements at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, University of California Berkeley and the University of Edinburgh in Prof. P. Arnold's group.

2014 -2018 PhD in Chemistry, working with Dr. Michael Cowley at the University of Edinburgh on reactive phosphorus and boron containing molecules.

Research Interests

My research interests focus on obtaining functional organometallic complexes through ligand design: two broad areas I am interested in are low coordinate f-element complexes and ligand design for improved separation of the lanthanoids.
